GWSC hosts first webinar

GWSC hosted its first webinar on July 27, 2023. The webinar was titled “‘You were elected to lead the living, not the dead’: How social media discourse about Nigerian farmer-herder conflicts can help us better understand water security.”

GWSC Deputy Director Kate Brauman moderated the panel discussion with Drs. Brian Britt (associate professor, University of Alabama Department of Advertising and Public Relations; associate director, analytics, UA Public Opinion Lab), Jameson Hayes (associate professor, UA Dept. of APR; director, UA Public Opinion Lab), and Matthew VanDyke (associate professor, UA Dept. of APR; faculty lead, Alabama Science Communication Initiative).
