UA Senior Joins GWSC as Summer 2026 Intern

Emily Wright is a senior at The University of Alabama, pursuing a major in Advertising with minors in Communication Studies and General Business. A native of Opelika, Alabama, she is passionate about strategic communication, market research, and digital media.

Emily serves as the President of the Industry Immersion program and as an Ambassador for the College of Communication and Information Sciences. She is a member of the University’s Honors College and a professional development mentee within the Oakley Society. She is also a Manuscripts Processing Assistant at W.S. Hoole Special Collections Library.

This summer, Emily is interning with the Global Water Security Center (GWSC) in the Communications Department, where she contributes to outreach efforts that bridge the gap between scientific research and public understanding. Her expertise in advertising and strategic communication makes her a valuable addition to the team. 

We are excited to have Emily on board and look forward to her contributions to GWSC’s mission!
