Lynn Metz, Data Scientist

Lynn Metz is a data scientist with a background in global health, environmental science, and epidemiology. She leverages data to strengthen public health and environmental systems, with experience in data integration, visualization, and decision-support tools globally.

Lynn has collaborated with government agencies, health ministries, and international non-governmental organizations to improve data quality, build analytical capacity, and inform evidence-based policy. Her projects have included managing large-scale datasets, integrating data from multiple sectors to inform policy and resource allocation, and supporting implementation science research in HIV prevention and health systems strengthening.

Her professional interests lie at the intersection of data science, environmental health, and global development with a focus on using analytics to advance equitable, data-driven solutions to complex challenges.

Lynn holds a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology and a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Science from the University of Michigan. She joined the Global Water Security Center in October 2025.
